The Corner, part II

So I should have waited until finishing watching the entire season before commenting. The show is based on a real family. It is still depressing, but a little better when you realize these incredibly awful stories are true.

The Corner

Probably one of the most depressing tv shows I have ever watched. It is so utterly depressing and without hope - but incredibly realistic. The acting is a little heavy handed. And the subject matter is not enjoyable. I can't decide if it illustrates the truth or prepetrates terrible myths.

We again had a ridiculous Thanksgiving - nothing terrifically hysterical happened, however.

About 11 people showed up

Oddly there are not dinner shots - too busy drinking that vino

Layer Cake

This British crime thriller had all the ingrediants to make it a good movie without the chef to put it together. I thought it was boring and a waste of my time after seeing many other movies of the same genre, done better. The new Bond, James Bond, Daniel Craig, was bland. The famous Sienna Miller's part was tiny, why do we care about this woman? I would recommend seeing Sexy Beast before this pile.

Kittie Get Down!

Walk the Line

A great film - for what it is. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon (who I often have a hard time liking) were outstanding as Johnny and June. Their singing was great and storyline worked well.
